There was the parade of nations. Every time you would expect the worlds best athletes proudly marched together in the Opening Statement at Rios Maracana stadium. Former olympian bronze medalist took that honor. You see the image there. Beautiful moment there. The theme of the ceremony was rebirth and regeneration, perhaps fitting you could say, given problems brazil has faced leading up to these days...
