I really want to focus more than anything on the pacific. And i know you come from the region relatively recently. The National Defense strategy is prioritized, and especially china and russia. But i think most people, when they think about the army, are thinking obviously a ground intensive environment like europe and not thinking about the pacific. Is the pacific really a priority for the army and what does it mean if it is . Yeah. Historically we focused on europe, but with the strategy that puts the indopacific as a top priority, its certainly a priority for us. The army has 288 confirmed cases of covid19 as of this morning. 100 of soldiers. 64 department of the army civilians. 5 are dependents nine are cadets. 50 are army contractors. This week, the secretary of defense signed orders for three Army Hospitals to deploy to new york and Washington State. Fortive 31st hospital for campbell, kentucky, and the night hospital for fort hood, texas, will deploy to new york city. An advanced party is on the ground as i speak. This morning kron fours gayle ong is in marine county with more on our top story. Members of the marine county search and rescue and canine teams have found the couple were told who are in great spirits. Carol cup are skinny and urban are alive and well the Marin County Sheriffs Office tweeted this photo of the palo alto couple in the hospital more than 70 people and rescue dogs set out to search for them in finding their way through dense vegetation and rough terrain so were searching up the drainage from shower beach. Is very tough going very tough drainage not halfway up we hear voices, first 2019 but then they started yelling help, they loved each other and light, thats them on saturday morning day 6 of the search the couple was found. Both carol and ian were airlifted and taken to the hospital suffering from hypothermia.
