The UK-based EV startup Arrival garners $300 million and hopes to slow the financial bleeding. It is still short to start the van production.
Arrival will shift its manufacturing focus from Bicester, UK, to Charlotte, North Carolina, where it will build a family of Van products for the US.
Arrival says the Vans that will be produced this year will not be sold to customers; instead, they will be used for testing, validation and quality control.
The company claims to have non-binding orders for about 149,000 vehicles, which if all completed, would bring over $6 billion in potential revenue.
