COVID-19 numbers:
Texas: More than 2.1 million cases have been reported in the state, and more than 39,000 people in Texas have died, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Central Texas counties: 
Travis County: At least 72,972 cases have been reported and at least 701 people have died. At least 68,576 people have recovered from the virus.
Hays County: At least 15,794 confirmed cases have been reported and at least 201 people have died. At least 14,034 people have recovered from the virus. 
Williamson County: At least 34,101 cases have been reported in the county and at least 362 people have died. At least 32,796 people have recovered from the virus. ....

Live music venues to get a lifeline in coronavirus relief bill

WASHINGTON It has been “hard times in the land of plenty,” as Omar and the Howlers sang, for music venues in hard-hit Austin during the pandemic.
But relief is on the way in the stimulus bill that was poised for approval in the House and Senate on Monday night that includes $15 billion in grants for entertainment venues.
“It could mean all the difference in the world,” said James Moody, owner of Mohawk, a venue on Red River Street in downtown Austin that accommodates 1,000 people.
U.S. Rep. Roger Williams, R-Austin, and U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, worked to include the Save Our Stages legislation into the $900 billion relief bill. ....
