seven people. the search continues today for more victims in the rubble of the destroyed buildings. it is the deadliest single attack in europe since the madrid train bombings in 2004. let s go straight to michael holmes there. he s on that island where that summer camp tragedy happened. so, michael, what has been happening there today? reporter: we re actually a few miles from the island, just sort of over there about four miles away from where i m standing. this hotel behind me, fredricka, is being turned into pretty much a crisis center if you like. the families of the victims of this tragedy have gathered here today. they have been up with their kids, some have been reunited. and they re get something counseling as well. and they need it after what happened on that island, wouldn t you? 85 people killed on that island, most of them children, of course. what we have been hearing today, too. some of the kids came out and wanted to talk to us. and telling absolutel ....

hosni mubarak s health is an issue here in egypt. keep in mind when we heard earlier today is that the lawyer for hosni mubarak said he was in a, quote, deep coma, he fell into that coma midday local time and that the lawyer was on the way to the hospital and didn t know whether or not hosni mubarak would ever regain consciousness. now, the hospital for itds part as you said, said, yes, he did lose consciousness. he fainted for a while earlier today. but regained consciousness quite shortly after that. they re also telling us that apparently it s not uncommon for mubarak to faint every once in a while. simply because his health is so problematic. the reason why this is such a big issue here in egypt, fredricka, is because mubarak is due to stand trial on august 3rd for atrocities allegedly committed during his reign here of almost 30 years in power. and, of course, during the revolution that started on january 25th and that eventually led to him being ousted. so a lot ....

built once before 17 years ago. on tuesday collins discussed the idea with shocked city officials. wednesday they gave him the okay to start. thursday construction began. we ve had just an enormous outpouring of generosity and help to get prepared to get back to this point. the city has been great. the city of job lynn allowed us a permit in record time. reporter: there s still no electricity in this part of joplin. the substation across the street remains in ruins. a generator powers the tools passersby continuing stop to offer encouragement and support. i just had two police officers stop by and say, we want to shake your hand, the first glimmer of hope that we ve really seen towards the town rebuilding. reporter: four nearby homes that collins built in the past year are in ruins. already he has at least six projects waiting to be rebuilt. my heart and prayers go out to everyone that did lose loved ones. i hate for it to come to something like this to bring ....
