The US Supreme Court, on Monday, declined to hear the defence by a North Carolina public charter school of its blocked requirement about the dress code which made it compulsory for the girls to wear skirts. This uniform policy, as per the founder was created aiming at treating women like "fragile vessels."
The publicly-funded school is complaining about having to treat girls equally as their sexist dress code remains blocked.
The Supreme Court is agreeing with an appellate ruling to bar a North Carolina school from requiring female students to wear skirts instead of pants.
The Supreme Court had to step in and shut down one North Carolina charter school attempting to force girls to only wear skirts.
