Beccy Barr, who swapped a career in TV journalism to become a Blackburn firefighter, has revealed that she has incurable cancer.

BBC and former commercial radio presenter Dom Busby has died after a short illness at the age of 53.

TV journalist turned Blackburn firefighter Beccy Barr is battling yet another challenge - vaccinating the vulnerable against coronavirus. The 43-year-old mum has been on duty immunising hundreds of the elderly and vulnerable to support the NHS in a battle to defeat Covid-19. She is one of 261 staff from the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service who have so far delivered 2,850 jabs.
