Bedeschi to supply equipment for Albioma's biomass transition

The Group Albioma, an independent renewable energy producer engaged in the energy transition through biomass, photovoltaic, and geothermy, established in Metropolitan France, Overseas France, Mauritius, Brazil, and Turkey, has developed a unique partnership with the sugar industry over the last 25 years, for the use and combustion of bagasse, a fibrous residue from sugar cane, which significantly contributes to the energy autonomy of the French Overseas islands, by burning bagasse in their energy thermal plants during six months of the year (coal burning being used for the other six months).
Albioma has now begun a new major project at their thermal Plant of Bois Rouge in La Réunion, which will have a significant impact on the environment by converting their existing boilers from bagasse and coal to fully green energy combustion. This plant, which produces more than 20% of the island’s electrical power, will fully give-up the coal combustion to replace it by biomass combustion by the end of 2023, and will thereby contribute to increase the renewable energy rate of the total energy mix in La Réunion, from 35% to 51%.

Ghana: Italy-based Bedeschi has been awarded a contract to supply and install cargo handling equipment for the Port of Takoradi. The project includes the supply of handling equipment and services for importing clinker and exporting bauxite and manganese. Bedeschi will supply five conveyor belts with a total length of 3km, two type 50/1400 A frame shiploaders and one eco-hopper. The shiploaders and the eco-hopper will be delivered fully erected from the supplier’s shipyard directly to the client jetty with a dedicated heavy lift vessel.
The project will adhere to ‘state of the art’ environmental standards with the use of dust collection and de-dusting system specifically designed for this application. All the conveyors will be closed, included the section where tippers and eco hoppers are in operation. Bedeschi will also provide the computerised control system too. No value for the contract or date of commissioned has been released.

Poland: Italy-based Bedeschi has won a contract with China-based Nanjing Kisen International Engineering, part of China National Building Materials, to carry out equipment supply for the modernisation of crushing and storage facilities at a Lafarge Polska cement plant in Poland. The supplier says that it will provide a crushing system featuring two RI 450/15000 double rollers and two Pal SP 130/18 portal reclaimers for raw materials storage.

Bedeschi wins reclaimer order for Polish plant

Bedeschi has been awarded a new contract by Nanjing Kisen International Engineering ()CNBM), for a LafargeHolcim cement plant in Poland.
The new order will include the refurbishment of an existing storage with the installation of two new semi-portal reclaimers Pal SP 130/18 for limestone at a capacity of 340tph each and a new crushing system featuring two RI 450/1500 double roller crushers to reduce gypsum, correctives and other cement additives.
This order follows the project just completed in Indonesia with Nanjing Kisen for Grobogan Cement (Indonesia) for a complete clay storage and crushing system.
