According to surveys out of that group of shoppers on the hunt, more than a quarter are Still Holding out for lastminute bargains between today and tomorrow when Christmas Eve starts. Thats smart, because analysts say 2013 is shaping up to be the most competitive season for retailers since the recession. For shoppers that means lots of discount promotions are available as the holiday approaches. For retailers, though, all that price slashing did not prevent a dropoff in shoppers in the final weekend.
