swoope. it took city engineers 13 hours to find the break in a ten-mile stretch of pipe. many residents remain without service after four days. today, we get our first look at the challenges facing public works crews as they cut a road down a steep half mile embankment to get to the side of the break. workers have now removed a 54- year-old section of the pipe, which ran below a stream that slowly eroded its concrete exterior over the year. after days without water, residents can now count down to the repairs being completed in an estimated 36 hours. >> we should have that pipe being...
