Global electric vehicle sales jumped 69% in January from a year earlier but were down 26% from December, reflecting subsidy cuts or tighter rules in Germany and France and seasonally weaker sales in China, market research firm Rho Motion showed on Wednesday.
FAME-II, the scheme to incentivize hybrid and electric vehicles, is expected to continue with its incentives in its next edition, FAME-III, with an outlay of up to ₹12,000 crore.
