Most of the fire to the back of the building and second floor. This is video when we were here earlier. We were the first on seen when you could really see that smoke barreling out. A lot of people had to rush out of their home. Some barefoot. A pregnant woman got out okay. One man is taken to the hospital, though, in serious condition. We talked to one man who barely got out. They are not always perfect. One predicted three feet of snow for the denver area. Considering next weeks possible storm, we wonder what makes predicting snow totals so difficult . The different models we look at are all points toward a similar system. Meteorologist begins with computers. There is one model indicating 10 to 15 inches. The other is more conservative. Reporter meteorologists at the National Weather service use multiple weather models run by Different Countries to forecast what is coming. The new models come in every six or 12 hours and different models may have a different storm track. Reporter but the models dont always matchup. 4 15 this morning. Thats when firefighters got that call of a fire. They say about ten people were inside and one of those people was seriously injured. Serious conditions. Firefighters have not been able to tell us if they had smoke inhalation or burns. We are working on updates on that. As far as this fire goes, as of a couple minutes ago actually still burning. It may not look like it right still burning a couple minutes ago. The firefighters are on the inside and they are working the back side of this fire. On the back of that building are live power lines that fell down during this fire. So xcel energy has come to the scene to deactivate the lines and make sure they dont pose a risk to firefighters and residents. Speaking of residents, the speech who lived here, one of the people told me this is somewhat of a shelter for people who are down on their luck and experiencing hard times.
