MIFFLINBURG — More than 10,000 people are expected to descend on Mifflinburg over an upcoming three-day period as the community hosts its traditional German festival.

The CAA standings becoming impossible to predict in mid-April? Who would have thought? Towson continued to shake things up in the league, beating No. 15 Hofstra 10-8 on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers were strong defensively, jumped out in the first half, then stood strong amid a late Hofstra push. It was Towson’s second-straight win, moving the Tigers to 5-6 and 2-3 in the CAA. Justin Lynskey is a problem for UMass. Lynskey scored the game-winner to give No. 18 Hofstra a 12-11 victory and key CAA result against the Minutemen. Lynskey grabbed a rebound, fought through the UMass defense and scored between the goalie’s legs while taking a hit with just under seven minutes left, giving Hofstra the late lead.
