Brittany Higgins says she's hopeful for reform after 'difficult' but 'robust' talks with Scott Morrison

Former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins says Prime Minister Scott Morrison has admitted the system let her down following her alleged sexual assault and that she remains "hopeful" after they agreed on the need for reform.
Ms Higgins sat down with Mr Morrison in Canberra on Friday afternoon, more than two months after she went public with allegations she was raped by a colleague inside Parliament House.
"The prime minister acknowledged the system had let me down. And we agreed that there needs to be reforms," Ms Higgins told reporters after the meeting, which she described as "difficult".

The federal department of health has commented on the man in Brisbane who went to hospital after receiving the Pfizer vaccine. It says:
“The department of health’s Vaccine Operations Centre [VOC] is aware of reports of an adverse event following immunisation in Queensland. The VOC is working closely with QLD Health to investigate these reports.The department of health does not comment publicly on details of individual adverse event following immunisation reports submitted to the TGA, in order to protect patient confidentiality.
“We take all reports of adverse reactions very seriously and they are reviewed through the appropriate channels.

Brittany Higgins plans to push Scott Morrison for changes to workplace culture in Parliament House when the two meet.
Ms Higgins, who alleges she was raped by a colleague in a federal minister's office two years ago, has accepted an invitation to meet with the Prime Minister.
"This decision wasn't made lightly," she said on Wednesday.
"However, things cannot be improved unless people are willing to come together and speak plainly about these difficult issues."
