In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade, a growing number of companies are pledging to pay for employee travel costs if they want an abortion and they're forced to get one in another state. Some Christian companies have responded by sharing in the expenses of employees who choose life – through childbirth or adopting a child.
On the day of the Dobbs decision, one couple stood outside the court, holding a sign saying, “We will adopt your baby.”
With the rare exception of a Texas-based health insurance company, numerous mega-corporations are encouraging their female employees to end their pregnancy and return back to work. That is not a pro-choice position, says a pro-life leader, but it sure sounds like a devious pro-profit one.
