CACHE, Okla. (TNN) - A new Comanche Nation Casino officially broke ground Saturday night in Cache.
The 17,000 square foot casino will sit right at the intersection of Highway 62 and Highway 115.
The project has been in the works for several years. Once it’s finished it will have a convenience store, a gaming center with 250 machines and a sit-down restaurant. The building will focus on the history and culture of the Comanche Nation, particularly Quanah Parker. ....

Two people were killed after a cache of fireworks exploded Tuesday at a house in Ontario, California, setting off a series of blasts that rocked the neighborhood.
The explosion took place around noon and led to evacuations of the immediate area. Ontario Fire Department Chief Ray Gayk confirmed during a press conference that there were two fatalities in addition to some injuries.
He said it s believed that the fire was sparked by commercial-grade fireworks illegally stored at a residential lot near West Francis Street and Fern Lane. ....

CACHE, Okla. (TNN) - President Biden’s signature on House Resolution 1319, also known as the American Rescue Plan Act, set the wheels in motion for schools across the country to receive a total of $122.8 billion for the 2023-2024 school year.
Cache Public Schools Superintendent, Chad Hance, says his district expects to receive about $2.2 million.
“You know our district spent a lot of money on upgrading our technology so we could do our virtual school and so on so we plan on kind of taking that money and putting it back into place and taking it to our other needs such as text books or professional development,” Hance said. ....
