i spoke to the executive director of the pga tour championship, he said he wants the athletes to focus on the prize money, $18 million, not being dehydrated or overheated. they have done all kinds of heat mitigation efforts from cooling stations to sunscreen stations to even ice boxes and cool towels at all of the tee locations. >> now, we spoke to a georgia native, brian harman, the 2023 british open champion, and you think he's used to the heat. >> you would think it would be a little bit of an advantage, but maybe the heat has worn you down. i'm not sure yet. it is not easy to play in heat like this. the tour has done a nice job with some amendments to the tee boxes with some cold towels and stuff and some more hydration stuff. we watch a lot more fans go down than players and caddies. so, the fans that are coming out need to be really careful, because you can get in a lot of trouble out there.

with adults. can you quickly speak to that? >> i always say if you are working for the summer, try to get a job where you're talking to people. i can think of three examples. one would be if there's a golf course nearby, public or private, they're always looking for caddies, and these kids work really really hard, and they're carrying bags and talking to the people who are playing golf, and they're getting advice and they're getting that emotional intelligence by talking to these folks. another job that's great is working in a restaurant or behind a bar, like you don't have to be 21 to work in a restaurant. there's a role that my son did called being a bar back, where he was just basically refilling glasses, putting ice and refilling the refrigerators, and all the people who were there liked to talk to him and to give him advice and asked him what he wanted to do when he grew up. that was a really, really helpful experience. >> tell me before you leave me, real quick, your favorite summer job from back in the day.
>> marine motto is semper fi. meaning always faithful. apparently, that meant more to the marines than to jd. caddies daughter harley remembers her mom and jd fighting all the time. >> i would ask mom, how are you? i heard some yelling. she would go i'm fine. and i would be like, no you're not. and she would tell me a few things, not, much but i knew it was getting pretty bad. and, when she put us to bed and we thought what they thought we were asleep. they would go about it again. start yelling. >> a lot of the fights where about robin. as you know by now, there was no love lost between the two women. katie suspected that jd was cheating on her with robin. which probably shouldn't have been surprising. >> i have to ask you, did j. d. ever cheat on robin with you? >> yes. after their separation.
