Use of the ferry cuts travel time between Missouri and Illinois by about 30 minutes, and people can get out of their vehicles during the river crossings. GRAFTON The Grafton Ferry will resume operations on Friday for the 2021 season. This year the ferry is expanding its hours to give people greater access to the Grafton area. Use of the ferry which can accommodate personal vehicles, buses and vans cuts travel time between Missouri and Illinois by about 30 minutes. People are allowed to get out of their vehicles during the river crossing.
