Undergraduate Commencement 2021 student graduates
AMHERST, Mass. – At today’s Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, UMass ice hockey
Coach Greg Carvel shared with graduates some of his maxims for success with the 2021 national champion men’s hockey team, including daring to make bold decisions, developing a strong identity and treating others with dignity and respect.
Carvel delivered the keynote commencement address at four smaller, socially distanced commencement ceremonies for a total of 6,400 enthusiastic graduates who received their bachelor’s degrees in front of family and friends at Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium under sunny skies.

At 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, a graduate commencement ceremony took place at Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium on campus to honor master’s and doctoral degree recipients. Remarks were offered by Chancellor Subbaswamy, Graduate School Dean Jacqueline Urla and two student speakers.

9 a.m. – Isenberg School of Management, College of Nursing and College of Information and Computer Sciences
Noon – College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, College of Humanities and Fine Arts and College of Education

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst will honor the exemplary achievement, initiative and leadership of some of its most talented and accomplished graduating seniors during Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies taking place Friday, May 14 at McGuirk Alumni Stadium. Jason Biundo of Burlington, Mass., is a Commonwealth Honors College student who is graduating with degrees in biology and neuroscience. He was named Residential Life Peer Mentor of the Year.
