Senate Bill 6, the Arkansas Unborn Child Protection Act by Sen. Jason Rapert, R-Conway, would outlaw all abortions in Arkansas except to save the life of a pregnant woman in a medical emergency. Anyone who performs an abortion would be subject to up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000. The woman would not be guilty of any criminal offense.
