ফকির আলমগীরের মৃত্যুতে দেওয়া শোক বার্তায় আজ শনিবার (২৪ জুলাই) এই মন্তব্য করেন তিনি।
ডা. জাফরুল্লাহ বলেন, 'তিনি (ফকির আলমগীর) ছিলেন বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা, কালজয়ী কিংবদন্তি গণসংগীত শিল্পী'। গণসংগীতের মাধ্যমে ষাটের দশকে পাকিস্তান স্বৈরসরকারের বিরুদ্ধে সারা দেশে স্কুল-কলেজ, হাট-বাজারে, গ্রামে-গঞ্জে, পথে ঘাটে তাঁর সংগ্রামী প্রতিবাদী গণসংগীতের মাধ্যমে সর্বসাধারণের মাঝে স্বাধীনতার উদ্দীপনা সৃষ্টি হয়। তিনি বহু কালজয়ী গানের গীতিকারও। যুদ্ধের সময়ও তিনি স্বাধীন বাংলা বেতার কেন্দ্রের শব্দ সৈনিক ছিলেন। ছাত্র জীবনে মজলুম জননেতা মাওলানা আবদুল হামিদ খান ভাসানীর অনুসারী ছিলেন।'
ডা. জাফরুল্লাহ তাঁর শোকবার্তায় আরো বলেন, 'ফকির আলমগীর ১৯৭৬ সালে গঠন করেন ঋষিজ শিল্পগোষ্ঠী। এই গোষ্ঠীর মাধ্যমে গণসংগীতকে তিনি সাধারণ মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছে দেন। তিনি দেশজ ও পাশ্চাত্য সংগীতের মেলবন্ধন ঘটিয়ে বাংলা গানে নতুন মাত্রা সংযোজন করেন। তিনি ছিলেন গণস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রের আপনজন। আমার সঙ্গে তাঁর সম্পর্ক ছিল বড় ভাই ও ছোট ভাইয়ের মতো। তিনি একুশে পদকসহ নানা পদকে ভূষিত হন। সংগীত ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অবদানের জন্য তাঁকে গণস্বাস্থ্য মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয়। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে দেশ হারাল কিংবদন্তি গণসংগীত শিল্পীকে আর আমরা হারালাম গণস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রের অকৃত্রিম বন্ধুকে। দেশের গণসংগীত ও সাংস্কৃতিক অঙ্গনে যে শূন্যতা সৃষ্টি হলো তা অপূরণীয়।
গণস্বাস্থ্যের ট্রাস্টি বলেন, বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে ফকির আলমগীরের গণসংগীত, তাঁর লেখা গান ও বহুবিধ কর্ম এবং দেশের স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধে তাঁর অবদান চিরস্মণীয় হয়ে থাকবে।
শোক বার্তায় মরহুমের রুহের মাগফিরাত কামনা করেন এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানান ডা. জাফরুল্লাহ।

আজ শনিবার (২৪ জুলাই) শোকবার্তায় স্পিকার মরহুমের রুহের মাগফিরাত কামনা করেন এবং তাঁর শোক সন্তপ্ত পরিবার-পরিজন ও শুভানুধ্যায়ীদের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানান।
করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়ে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় গত শুক্রবার রাতে রাজধানীর একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে ইন্তেকাল করেন একুশে পদকপ্রাপ্ত গণসংগীত শিল্পী ফকির আলমগীর। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে অনুরূপ শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন জাতীয় সংসদের ডেপুটি স্পিকার মো. ফজলে রাব্বী মিয়া। এক শোকবার্তায় এই শব্দ সৈনিকের মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোক ও দুঃখ প্রকাশ করেছেন তিনি। মরহুমের বিদেহী আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করেন এবং তাঁর শোক সন্তপ্ত পরিবার-পরিজন ও শুভানুধ্যায়ীদের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানান ডেপুটি স্পিকার।
এদিকে, স্বাধীন বাংলা বেতার কেন্দ্রের শব্দ সৈনিক, দেশবরেণ্য গণসংগীত শিল্পী ফকির আলমগীরের মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোক ও দুঃখ প্রকাশ করেছেন জাতীয় সংসদের চিফ হুইপ নূর-ই-আলম চৌধুরী এবং স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় কমিটির সভাপতি অ্যাডভোকেট মো. শামসুল হক টুকু।
