Peak of their careers will get a federal appointment and move sideways into the federal judiciary. So theres a lot to be said for this idea. But the problem is it contradicts the idea of having the Career Civil Service model where you start off as a junior person in the very lowest court and work your way up. Because the whole point of having these sort of experienced dignified people is theyre going to start off at a relatively high level, and not want to start out in the low courts making 5 kwi a month.
