MONTREAL -- Restaurants and bars staged a symbolic re-opening Saturday, seeking to remind patrons and politicians alike of the dining experience after 14 months dominated by COVID-19 shutdowns. The faux re-opening -- no food was served on site -- came after Quebec bar owners called on the government last month to allow them to unlock their doors for patrons who have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
