LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Covenant Childrenâs is pleased to announce they will receive a grant for $33,604 from Spirit Halloween.
Each year since the partnership began in 2010, this campaign has raised money from generous shoppers across the South Plains that has awarded Covenant Childrenâs more than $165 thousand. One hundred percent of local donations remain in the Lubbock community.
âWe are so blessed to be a partner of Spirit Halloween and a recipient of their Spirit of Children fundraiser,â Covenant Childrenâs Manager of Integrative Care Christine Neugebauer said. âIn a year when so much changed, we are happy to see Spirit Halloweenâs generosity and commitment to caring for children ....

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A generous donation will go a long way towards helping sick children in central Virginia.
The Estes family and their company, Estes Express Lines, pledged $2 million towards the construction of the new âWonder Towerâ at the Childrenâs Hospital of Richmond.
The company will donate $150,000 and the family will donate the rest.
âWe did a lot of research about the Childrenâs Hospital of Richmond, and are just really excited about the things theyâre working on and the things theyâre doing to bring a world-class pediatric hospital to the City of Richmond,â CEO Rob Estes said. ....

Dr Elizabeth Gunn set up the first children s health camp in New Zealand at Lethbridge Farm in Turakina in 1919.
Mr Lethbridge provided the land and built an office, cookhouse and toilet facilities to accommodate the camp. That first camp was home to 55 children, plus staff, for three weeks.
More camps were established to improve the wellbeing of New Zealand children with health problems. ....
