Homeowner says he fired his gun in selfdefense. It happened in the East San Jose foothills. Police are still on the scene. Janine de la vega is joining us live on the scene. Good morning. Reporter good morning, brian. Crime scene technicians are here on the scene. Police here are investigating. They say this is where a man says someone tried to break into his home. He was just trying to defend himself and that is why he grabbed his gun. Just before 8 00 last night they received phone calls that shots were fired.
