The double-storey apartments would be in five lakeside blocks. The land for the development was bought in 2011 for a total of 110 apartments, but despite several resource consents issued, only the first stage of 36 had so far been built. The new apartments would be the second stage, built in five apartment blocks next to those already completed. Like the first stage, they would have living areas on the ground floor with bedrooms and balconies above.
