Morris | Ada County Sheriff’s Office MERIDIAN (Idaho Statesman) Deputies arrested a 79-year-old Meridian school bus driver after accusations that he sexually abused a preteen school girl, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Leroy E. Morris is charged on suspicion of lewd conduct with a child younger than age 16. The Idaho Statesman reports he will appear in court on Friday afternoon. Deputies began their investigation Thursday after being contacted by the Meridian Police Department, which was notified after a report that Morris made a “sexual innuendo-type comment” to a young girl when she got on his bus earlier in the week, according to the sheriff’s blog. ....

A total of 120 COVID-19 patients were in ICUs across the state Tuesday, according to updated data the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare reported Friday. That number decreased to 118 patients on Wednesday, the last day data from the state was available. There were 467 Idahoans hospitalized with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 on Wednesday. Idaho s allotment for next week was reduced from 17,550 to 9,750 doses. We don t know why it was reduced. But our focus doesn t change health care workers will continue to receive the vaccine, IDHW said in a Twitter post.
