Rizván is turning his birthday week into an opportunity to put on one hell of a night, showcasing a jaw dropping selection of Aotearoa hip hop and RnB talent. Dubbed Heavy Rotation Volume 1 (surely meaning there are further volumes to come?), high-rotate radio favourites like Church & AP, INF, Garethxmf and more. In the calendar for this time next month, the first edition of North Shore Rizzy s Heavy Rotation will no doubt be hot enough to stave off the chills of an icy June night. Tickets have gone on sale today, but won t last long at these prices.

Now that s what we call a weird week. Thankfully Covid restrictions have completely lifted for most of Aotearoa, but Auckland still remains at Alert Level 2 until Monday at least, following our three day surprise lockdown. This means that live events in the super city can still take place, but everyone must be spaced out (remember that phrase?) one metre apart and gigs are capped at 100 maximum attendees brush up on the details here. Understandably that s thrown a few curveballs Tāmaki Makaurau s way this weekend, but there s still plenty of seated and unrestricted shows happening throughout NZ to make the most of.
