maybe near 70 in a couple spots this afternoon. monika, take it away. overall the major thoroughfares are great. for monday morning you ll just see that early morning volume forming. on the northbound side of i-95 we re fine but you want to watch out for that police activity we ve been telling but here in lorton. northbound on route 123 near palmer drive. so be aware of that. across the occoquan river on 95 things are fine, lorton, newington to springfield. we ll take a live look outside where there are no problems as you can see. again just the volume early monday morning. it already looks like this in the main and hov lanes heading for 395. back over to the map and this time all the way up 270 coming in from frederick. no problems on i-70 and 270. a live look on the beltway north of town here at georgia avenue traffic is moving well. in my next report another look at area roads at 5:09. thank you very much, monika. d.c. police are investigating several armed robberies
latest from outside the marine corps museum now. reporter: the museum of the marine corps here in virginia was one of many targets by this gunman, and one of many targets that helped the fbi to create a profile for their suspect. last year in october, the national museum of the marine corps was shot up overnight. the suspect never apprehended. then more shootings followed, at marine military offices and the pentagon. the fbi is now charging 22-year-old yonathan melaku with those shootings. melaku became a suspect after he was found hanging out at arlington national cemetery at 1:30 in the morning last friday. when approached, he told officers his vehicle was parked near the pentagon and packed with bomb-making materials. that led to the shutdown of roads around the pentagon friday morning. explosives were never recovered, but mall coup welaku was taken custody and is now being held. he is also a lance corporal in the marines. he s a reservist. one u.s. military official say
