Your new residential parking permit is on way

Your new residential parking permit is on way
New parking permits will be automatically posted to Boroondara residents before current permits expire on 30 June.
If you’re a permit holder, you won’t need to contact Council to renew your residential parking permits.
Your new permit will arrive a few weeks before your current permit expires on 30 June. The new permit is effective immediately and will be valid for two years, until 30 June 2023.
In order to be valid, please display your permit on your windscreen or hang it from your rear view mirror.
If you don’t receive your new permit by Friday 28 May, please contact us and we’ll send out a replacement.

For someone who considers himself an “avid amateur gardener”, David Adams attracts some pretty rare and exciting visitors to his Camberwell backyard.
Thornbills, grey fantails, currawongs, rainbow lorikeets, eastern spinebills and wattlebirds: They all come to enjoy the little native bush haven David has created in suburbia.
Even a spotted pardalote, normally known to forage in eucalypt forests, recently visited his garden.
“People lose sight of the simple joy that birds in the backyard can bring,” David said.
“If you looked at my backyard on Google Earth, you’d see a little green oasis surrounded by roads and development, but the birds find their way here.”

We are pleased to announce the official reopening of the new Balwyn Community Centre following the completion of construction.
We’ve developed the site to meet our community’s needs. Features include:
Six additional functional spaces for community programs and groups, including a demonstration kitchen, two new art rooms and a craft workshop
Balwyn Maternal and Child Health relocated and expanded to a two-nurse unit
An upgraded 20-place occasional child care centre
13,750 indigenous plants added throughout the parklands and Kergunyah Wetlands
An upgraded function centre
A new recreation zone, including exercise equipment, a learn-to-cycle path and table tennis tables

We are pleased to announce that construction of the new Camberwell Community Centre is now complete.
The Camberwell Maternal and Child Health and the Camberwell Community Centre (Leighton and Chambly) have been moved to one central location that is now open to the public.
Key features of the new Camberwell Community Centre include:
a convenient and central location
flexible, multipurpose spaces for programs and activities, and dedicated facilities for art and pottery classes
an early parenting centre
a basement car park with lift access to all levels, and an at-grade car parking and drop-off area
