And the second night of the uprising, what we called rebellion, my mother and my sister and i had walked to one of the major intersections about two blocks from our house and we had been there for about 15 minutes and suddenly there were shots. There was gunfire. Everyone on the corner was shot except me. My mother and sister were shot, injured. Thankfully they were not lifethreatening injuries but they had to go to the hospital.
