Two KTV lounges that were meant to reopen yesterday will remain closed.
Checks by The Straits Times on a third outlet revealed that it had not reopened either.
The Health Ministry (MOH) said on July 13 that Club Dolce at Balestier Point, Wu Bistro at Golden Mile Complex and Club De Zara at Textile Centre will be closed from July 13 to July 27 after the ministry detected likely ongoing transmissions of Covid-19 at those places.

Spike in Covid-19 cases raises disturbing questions, but also carries lessons for Singapore

July 20, 2021
The only way so many patrons and staff could get affected at former KTV outlets that had supposedly pivoted to serving only food and drinks is that laws have been flouted.
The Straits Times
SINGAPORE - There is an ongoing surge in Covid-19 cases, with 480 people getting infected over the past week. This exceeds the total number of infections reported over the previous month.
Most of the new cases can be traced either to the cluster linked to KTV lounges, or to the one at Jurong Fishery Port. The two clusters are linked, said Health Minister Ong Ye Kung in a Facebook post on Monday (July 19).

SINGAPORE - The woman who is the first case linked to the growing KTV cluster of Covid-19 infections is a short-term visit pass holder from Vietnam who entered Singapore in February via the familial ties lane, sponsored by her Singaporean boyfriend.
In a joint statement on Friday (July 16), the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said that police investigations into possible illegal, including vice-related, activities within this KTV cluster are ongoing.

Singapore's nightlife industry has emerged as its latest covid cluster
Karaoke lounges have become Singapore's latest virus cluster, making up for a majority of the 56 cases the country recorded on Wednesday.
The figure is the highest daily total Singapore has seen in 10 months,
Some 41 cases have been linked to these lounges, which typically see hostesses interact with customers.
The lounges were closed months ago as part of lockdown measures, but several obtained licenses to operate as food and beverage outlets instead.
The latest cluster comes as Singapore gradually eases virus restrictions - allowing people to meet in larger groups and rolling back some dining restrictions.
