After setting a record for homicides in 2021, Philadelphia continues to be plagued by gun crime in 2022. In response to the most violent year in its history, the city included a “historic investment of $155 million” in the fiscal year 2022 budget. The money went to “proven anti-violence strategies” such as community violence intervention programs, enrichment opportunities, workforce development training programs, and after-school programs.

For a political party that prides itself as the champions of diversity and tolerance, Democrats were quite rude and prejudiced when it came to the first Korean American woman elected to Congress. This has been the case for Republican Rep. Michelle Steel of California. Her Democratic opponent has criticized her accent and implied she doesn’t know any politics without her husband’s input.

Frank James, the black domestic terrorist who allegedly shot up a New York City subway car in Brooklyn, had an extensive history of posting racist, bigoted, anti-white videos on YouTube under the account “Prophet of Truth 88.” Despite James’s anti-white racism, his videos have been largely ignored, almost as if the YouTube videos never existed.

Frank James, the sole person of interest in the Brooklyn subway shooting attack yesterday, was taken into custody on Wednesday. The attack left ten people injured. But when the attack was initially reported, many American media outlets refused to provide the suspect’s race. These outlets merely listed his height, what he was wearing, and his estimated weight — they wanted to hide the fact that the suspect was a black man.
