(Town of Manchester ) MANCHESTER, CT — Plans are in the works to install "pedestrian actuated rectangular rapid flashing beacons," or RRFBs, at two locations on Main Street later this summer. That's a fancy terms for lighted crosswalks. RRFB's are designed to alert motorists to an intended crossing with flashing LED beacons which are activated by a pedestrian push button.
