L3Harris, the major tech and defense contractor, has won a $3.3 billion contract to provide the Army with radios and related communication services.
The contract was awarded Thursday and work will continue for five years, according to the Department of Defense. L3Harris was the only company to bid on the contract, which was awarded by U.S. Army Contracting Command in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. ....

The Boeing Co., Mesa, Arizona, was awarded a $39,657,700 modification (P00079) to contract W58RGZ-16-C-0023 for new-build AH-64E aircraft. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Mesa, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 31, 2025. Fiscal 2021 aircraft procurement, Army funds in the amount of $39,657,700 were obligated at the time of the award. The US Army has tested the capability of Vita Inclinata Technologies’ Rescue System technology during a recent exercise.
During testing, Vita Rescue System was equipped onto a HH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and the service’s traditional legacy system was fitted onto another HH-60 aircraft.
The helicopters took part in a simulated patient rescue mission. The company noted that its system outperformed the legacy system by 3:1. ....
