You know, we are finding that there is a lot of potential health benefits. Heart health is another area. It s very this baseline good things that grapes may help with the heart relaxing blood vessels so that you have good blood flow and function. Skin health is another area that is emerging where we have found that well. A recent study showed that grapes were able to help increase resistance to sunburn and reduced markers of UV damage at the cellular level. She continues by describing how grapes benefit the immune system.<p>There was another study that came out in 2020 in Neurology that showed that a higher intake of plant compounds that are called flavanols are associated with a 48 percent decreased risk in Alzheimer dementia and grapes have flavanols in them. It s a type of bioactive compound. Flavanols are known for promoting beneficial antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. And grapes of all colors do contain those. So the science is building and really showing us just how grapes make it deliver these benefits. Grapes may help support a healthy immune system, and again, the baseline is that grapes have these antioxidants and other polyphenols, which help protect the health and function of cells at the most basic level. She describes the benefits of having grapes in our diet.<p>They have been studied now for over 20 years, and there is a lot of research that helps suggest their benefit in health and two of the areas. Just two of the areas are immunity and brain health. So when it comes to brain health, that grapes have over 16000 natural plant compounds. This includes antioxidants and other polyphenols, which all work in a variety of ways to promote health. So individual grape compounds have been linked to brain health, for instance, over the years.
