Leave it to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to show the Golden Globes how it’s done. The nominees are a step up, but best of all, the Oscars are sweeping Zoom into the dustbin. The much-delayed 93rd Academy Awards convenes Sunday in pandemic style: the ceremony will be social-distanced and attendees will be maskless while on camera. The pandemic restrictions aren’t the only changes: Six years after the first #OscarsSoWhite tweet, the year’s pool is one of the most diverse in the show’s history — though the multiple “Da 5 Bloods” snubs prove that there is still wo...

Has a Best Picture race ever felt like such a done deal? Even in years where there's been an obvious frontrunner, there was still some room for surprise come Oscars night. That doesn't seem to be the case this year, where Nomadland is so primed to win that if any other film were read off, we would say, " Why do they keep letting Warren Beatty present Best Picture?!" The nominees for the 93rd Academy Awards are a high-quality roundup of films and performances that astutely reflect a lot of what we cared about more than movies in 2020. These aren’t frivolous times, and these aren’t frivolous films. Even the comedy about a clueless Kazakh reporter trying to pawn off his offspring on an oblivious Mike Pence showed heart and purpose. Ultimately, Borat Subsequent ...

Borat Supplemental Reportings Trailer Teases Never-Before-Seen Footage Coming off from the critical success of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for the comedy sequel’s multi-part special titled Borat Supplemental Reportings. It features never-before-seen footage that was cut from Sasha Baron Cohen-led  2020 mockumentary film. The video also teases extended scenes of Borat’s time with the two conspiracy theorists and Tutar’s babysitter Jeanise Jones as well as behind-the-scenes footage of when Baron Cohen almost got in danger during a fa...
