ISP WOW has asked a Colorado federal court to dismiss an expanded piracy liability complaint filed by film companies earlier this year.
A grand jury has charged that, between September of last year and Feb. 29 of this year, Christopher B. Watts, 72, "did knowingly engage in a scheme to defraud and obtain money or property by means of materially false or fraudulent pretenses, representations and promises," according to an indictment filed with the United States District Court of Colorado March 21.
“Even if it is debatable whether the impact fee will do anything to address the problem, it must be upheld.”
