Roger Mudd was 93 years old. In one of his obituaries, the Associated Press wrote, "His career coincided with the flowering of television news, the pre-cable, pre-internet days when the big three networks...were the main source of news." Roger Mudd was one of a handful of news presenters who directed my career choice as a boy. The others were Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Walter Cronkite, and Dan Rather.
