Jacob Dean Smart, the Astoria man captured in Port of Kalama on Feb. 27 following an alleged multi-day crime spree that spanned five different counties across Oregon, Washington and Idaho, was arraigned in Cowlitz County Superior Court, Tuesday.
When barricaded in Kalama Monday, Smart made several threats that he would open fire upon police officers and vehicles, claiming he wouldn't be taken alive, police report.
The home invasion occurred Friday in the 100 block of Altavista Road in Longview Heights.
