He says the q1 data was, quote, notably weak. The march picture march jobs numbers brought the jobs picture, quote, down to earth. Now, he does talk about this issue, was it partially explained by trance tore factors, we dont know yet but lower gas prices havent as expected boosted consumer spending. He says net exports are down as a result of the strong dollar and manufacturing has softened considerably. He does see growth picking up in later quarters but he says the evidence of that is not yet in the numbers.
