Immunoprotein Diagnostic Testing Market To Reflect Tremendous Growth Potential With A Lucrative CAGR By 2025: Grand View Research Inc.

According to a report,
Immunoprotein Diagnostic Testing Market Size, Share & Trends Analysis By Type (Complement System Proteins, Free Light Chain, Haptoglobin, Immunoglobulin), By Technology, By Application, And Segment Forecasts, 2018 2025, published by Grand View Research, Inc. The global immunoprotein diagnostic testing market size is expected to reach USD 10.3 billion by 2025, registering a staggering CAGR, as per a new report by Grand View Research Inc. The market demand can be attributed to the rising incidence of chronic diseases.
According to a 2017 research report by the American Heart Association, nearly 790,000 people suffer heart attack every year in the U.S. Furthermore, stroke is responsible for 1 in every 20 deaths in the country. Hence, WHO is undertaking initiatives to decrease the risk and occurrence of cardiovascular diseases. Such factors are driving the demand for immunoprotein diagnostics and are expected to rise during the forecast period in ....

Using a smartphone-based microscope for detecting single molecules and diagnosing diseases

Using a smartphone-based microscope for detecting single molecules and diagnosing diseases
Biomarkers play a central role in the diagnosis of disease and assessment of its course. Among the markers now in use are genes, proteins, hormones, lipids and other classes of molecules. Biomarkers can be found in the blood, in cerebrospinal fluid, urine and various types of tissues, but most of them have one thing in common: They occur in extremely low concentrations, and are therefore technically challenging to detect and quantify.
Many detection procedures use molecular probes, such as antibodies or short nucleic-acid sequences, which are designed to bind to specific biomarkers. When a probe recognizes and binds to its target, chemical or physical reactions give rise to fluorescence signals. Such methods work well, provided they are sensitive enough to recognize the relevant biomarker in a high percentage of all patients who carry it in their blood. ....

Taking Chip Technology to Point of Use

Feb 13 2021 Read 2935 Times
Researchers at the University of Bristol have developed a way of producing the soft-lithographic moulds used for fabricating microfluidic devices using low-cost 3D-printing techniques. Coupled with the open-source resources developed by the team, this alternative technology has the potential to accelerate uptake and development of on-chip diagnostic techniques in parts of the world where rapid point of care (POC) diagnoses are needed.
“Previously, techniques for producing the soft-lithographic scaffolds/moulds (microfluidic channel patterns) were time-consuming and extremely expensive, while other low-cost alternatives were prone to unfavourable properties. This development could put Lab-On-a-Chip prototyping into the hands of researchers and clinicians who know the challenges best, in particular those in resource-limited settings, where rapid diagnostics may often have the greatest impact,” said the study’s lead author Dr Robert Hughes. ....

AI-assisted video analysis can help doctors to diagnose Parkinson's disease at an early stage

AI-assisted video analysis can help doctors to diagnose Parkinson’s disease at an early stage
Feb 12 2021
Scientists from Skoltech and A.I. Burnazyan Federal Medical and Biophysical Center have designed and developed a second opinion system, based on AI-assisted video analysis, which can help medical professionals to objectively assess patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) even at an early stage. This approach can help avoid misdiagnosing this disease, distinguishing between its stages, adjusting therapy and recommending diagnosed patients for deep brain stimulation surgery. The paper was published in
IEEE Sensors Journal.
A growing number of people with neurodegenerative diseases, due to population aging, will mean that in the coming decades, humanity might face a bona fide ‘Parkinson’s disease pandemic’. PD, currently the fastest growing neurodegenerative disease, affects the patients’ quality of life quite severely and needs to be diagnosed as accu ....
