Protectionism Won't Fuel a Nuclear Renaissance
Expansion of nuclear power will result in increased demand foruranium. Growing fuel markets will create the environment that cansustain new enrichment capacity; artificially protecting domesticsuppliers will not. The U.S. needs a domestic supplier of enricheduranium for national security purposes. The U.S. and Russia mustcontinue to convert Russian weapons-grade uranium for use inpeaceful power reactors.
