Man questions Montpelier police mask protocol

Montpelier Village Council is looking into mask protocols for police after a man questioned them during their meeting Monday evening.
Bob Dilworth joined in on the Zoom conference meeting to inquire about the protocols after an incident involving a friend of his last week.
His friend had fallen, so he called emergency service, with Williams County EMS, Montpelier Fire Department, Montpelier Police Department and the Williams County Sheriff’s Office all being called in for a lift assist.
“All of the firemen had masks on, I had a mask on, EMS had a mask on, even the person who had fallen requested I get her mask out of her car before anybody got there,” Dilworth said. “Your patrolman comes in not wearing a mask.”
