About the markets and things were going well. it s another set of record highs. the s&p 500 and nasdaq hit record levels. through yesterday s close, the nasdaq composite has been up to record closes for nine straight days. that is the longest string of record closes for the nasdaq going all the way back to 1998. what that has done is raise some questions among certain traders and investors who may not be quite as optimistic on the market at these high levels that it feels like the dot-com era. not to say it s anything like that today, but still raising concerns. we will be looking forward to 2020 where a number of themes will be a close focus for traders. two in particular. first of all, what s going to happen for u.s.-china trade negotiations? we have this phase one deal theoretically agreed to. what happens next? trade has been one of the primary focuses for traders in 2019 and a big catalyst for that move higher in stocks as optimism builds. ....
