The chp did close down the exit ramp about 7 30 tonight. Thats when the chp vehicle pulled off, and burst into flames right on the exit ramp. Chp officers say they dont know what caused the chp vehicle to catch on fire. They say the officer had been traveling east on the bay bridge out of San Francisco when he noticed smoke inside the car back by the trunk. He smelt smoke coming from his vehicle.
