Dubai currently has two stock exchanges Dubai Financial Market and Nasdaq Dubai for the listing of companies.
Foreign companies established and licensed outside the country with branches, assets and activities in Dubai can also list their shares in local markets as either a primary or secondary listing
Dubai has issued new guidelines for the listing of local companies, asking them to list sell shares first in the local stock market and before going for a secondary listing in a foreign stock exchange.
In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, issued Decree No. (3) of 2021 pertaining to the listing of joint stock companies in securities exchanges in Dubai.

With the UAE recording a spike in daily Covid infections across the country this month, authorities have been cracking down on violators of precautionary measures put in place to limit the spread of the virus.
The Dubai Media Office on Thursday put out a series of updates summarising the results of daily inspection reports by various government bodies across the emirate.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has set up a new Covid-19 vaccination centre at One Central within the World Trade Centre Freezone.
In a video posted by Dubai Media Office on Sunday, January 17, it shows teams setting up the venue in just 72 hours.
The One Central Covid-19 Vaccination Centre has a capacity to inoculate 4,000 people a day and is aimed at boosting the emirate’s mass vaccination campaign.

More than 23 million tests have been carried out across the country so far.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Friday reported 3,407 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 3,168 recoveries. Seven deaths were also reported.
As many as new 131,262 Covid-19 tests were carried out, taking the total number of tests carried out in the country to more than 23 million so far.
The total number of cases in UAE as on January 15 stand at 246,376 while total recoveries are 218,988. Death toll rises to 733.
More than 22.9 million tests have been carried out across the country so far.

Government departments in Dubai have intensified inspections of commercial establishments as cases of Covid-19 continue to soar in the UAE.
To increase public safety, the Dubai Media Office on Thursday issued an advisory that reiterated precautionary measures for social gatherings and wedding receptions, clearly stating violators will be liable to a fine of Dh50,000 at least for hosting large gatherings at home. Each attendee will also be fined Dh15,000.
