144 Congress party workers and independent supporters join BJP in Karbi Anglong

Our Correspondent Diphu, July 12 (EMN): In what could be called a major development in the political scenario of Karbi Anglong, 144 party workers and supporters from Congress and independent supporters from Howraghat and Socheng Dhenta MAC constituencies on Tuesday joined BJP during a mass joining program held at BJP-East Karbi Anglong District Committee office at ARTC 1st Gate-Diphu Manja Road. Congress leaders and workers of Howraghat Block Congress Committee, 25 strong supporters of United Democratic Front of Surupathar and APHLC workers from Lumbajong joined the BJP party. Karbi Anglong observes International Yoga Day

In Diphu town, various institutions, organisations and political parties observed IYD by organising yoga sessions and speeches on the importance of yoga for physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
