'Borgen' Writer Maja Jul Larsen Wins the 2021 Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize with 'Cry Wolf'

Denmark’s Maja Jul Larsen has bested strong opposition to take this year’s Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize for DR’s “Cry Wolf,” Larsen’s first series as a creator and lead-writer.
The win, announced at a Göteborg Festival TV Drama Vision award ceremony on Tuesday, goes to one of the rising stars on Denmark’s screenwriting scene who in a relatively short career – she graduated from Denmark’s National Film School in 2007 – has run an up an impressive curriculum working on “Borgen,” “Follow the Money” and “The Legacy.”

European Film Promotion's pick of 10 up-and-coming European talents for 2021 will be presented to the international industry in a three-day online program in February and take part in the Shooting Stars Awards Ceremony in Berlin this summer.
The European Shooting Stars, an annual list of the top 10 new acting talents coming out of Europe, unveiled its 2021 roster on Tuesday.
They include Germany's Albrecht Schuch, who caught international attention for his performances in
System Crasher (2019) and
Dating Amber (2020) and has a supporting role in Hulu drama
Normal People (2020); Natasa Stork, the star of Hungary's international feature Oscar contender
Preparations to be Together for an Unknown Period of Time (2020); and Nicolas Maury, a member of the ensemble cast of Netflix's French hit
