Elder Services to distribute produce vouchers Staff Writer The Barnstable Patriot Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands will be distributing Farmer’s Market coupons for the purchase of produce to low-income Barnstable residents age 60 or older who qualify for programs such as Food Stamps, Mass Health and fuel assistance. Coupon books worth $25 will be available beginning Tuesday, July 6 on a first-come, first-serve basis. You do not have to be an Elder Services’ consumer to receive this benefit. These coupons are provided in conjunction with the Federal Grant from the Department of Agriculture. After July 6, coupons will be available while supplies last at Elder Services Senior Nutrition sites in Barnstable County Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and noon.
